The Original
Double Dutch Auntie

Double Dutch Aunties was founded by Coach Kizzy, a generational Double Dutcher from The Bronx, NY. What started as a recreation game in her Morris Ave neighborhood turned into the love of the sport in High School. Like many inner-city girls, Kizzy started jumping with friends in front of her building, block parties and at parks by the Basketball courts throughout The Bronx and Harlem. While attending Walton HS, she was introduced to the sport of Double Dutch after taking it as a gym class. What she thought would be an easy "A", turned out to be the introduction to volunteering and fundraising for a great cause. One of the requirements to complete the gym class was to participate in the American Heart Association's "Jump Rope For Heart" program where she raised money and competed in an all-day Jump Rope marathon in 1992.

With decades of experience in youth athletics, producing recreation programs and a passion for jump rope, Coach Kizzy and dedicated team of adult and youth coaches enjoy engaging double-dutch lovers and fostering a love for the sport. Our club is committed to creating a welcoming environment where all ages and genders can develop jumping and turning skills, make friends, and learn the rich history of Double Dutch.

Our Mission is to teach the art, athleticism, and teamwork of Double Dutch while promoting confidence, discipline, leadership, and cultural pride. Building community connections in cities through the North and South. We aim to empower youth and college students while celebrating the joy of jump rope through our scholarships, engaging programs and events.

Stay tuned for upcoming events, clinics, after-school and summer programs throughout New York City and the Charlotte surrounding areas. Join us to see how we inspire the next generation to keep the culture alive!
